The 100 Miles of Amsterdam & Amsterdam Watch Company

In the night of 18 & 19 December, Amsterdam and De 9 Straatjes will form the decor for The 100 Miles of Amsterdam, for the third time in a row. The contestants drive, with no exception, in pre-war cars, which makes this cold and nocturnal rally a special challenge for men and machines.

It is not new that the passion for old-timers often goes hand in hand with the love and passion for vintage watches. Both combine remarkable techniques and esthetics with special stories and romance of long gone years. Amsterdam Watch Company in the Reestraat is very proud and honored to be a sponsor of The 100 Miles of Amsterdam for the second year in a row. Like in previous editions, the winner will go home with a special vintage watch of Amsterdam Watch Company.

Where will The 100 Miles of Amsterdam be held?
De rally starts at Huize Frankendael in Amsterdam East and brings the contestants through the city center, over Dam Square, to ‘our’ Reestraat in De 9 Straatjes. Exactly there, a so called “Regularity Rally” will be held, where the drivers need to drive exactly 20 Km an hour over a distance of 100 meters. This is not an easy task, seeing the age of the cars. At 7.30pm de first contestant will drive through the Reestraat and, together with the officials, Amsterdam Watch Company will time the rally precisely…
